The Local Handyman Story
Founded by Travis & Kristen Kennelty in Wauwatosa, WI in September 2020, The Local Handyman is the product of 20 years of real estate, business sales, maintenance, remodeling, home ownership, technology, and property management experience. Yes…we started a business during the pandemic! It seems as though there are a lot of people that need help with their home and not enough skilled helpers. So, in a time of great economic uncertainty for many businesses, this seemed the ideal time to get out of business sales jobs and into the business of helping real people with their homes.
The Local Handyman is what they are referring to when they say “support a small business” today! We live local, buy local, support local, and provide local service to our community. Just as importantly, we support the Autism community. The Local Handyman will serve as an ongoing work study program for our children, but in particular as an opportunity for our oldest child to have a safe place to work, learn, and become a valuable helper for the company and in his community.
